Energy independence in a green home

by admin on June 15, 2009

What makes a home green, comfortable, healthy and inexpensive to maintain? Find out on June 20 when Terry Jensen speaks in the Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas on achieving personal energy independence in a green, comfortable and healthy home.

“As energy rates continue to rise, achieving financial independence must include achieving energy independence, too,” Jensen says. “This means understanding and implementing renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy conservation in your house. Come understand practical renewable energy for residences and then learn what is important and what is not important when building or remodeling green.”

Jensen’s lecture will be followed by a Q&A session as well as a guided tour of the Trinity River Audubon Center’s LEED-certified building. You can modify many of its successful commercial green practices for your own family and home.

The “Living Green” class series is held every third Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Trinity River Audubon Center, 6500 South Loop 12 in Dallas.  Registration is $20 per class. Space is limited, so call to reserve your space at 214.309.5815, or register now online.
